The SPCA of Bradley County’s Angel Fund exists for animals like this month's feature, Cutie Pie. This special fund allows us to provide lifesaving medical care when an animal’s treatment will exceed our normal medical budget, but there is a strong chance for a full and happy recovery. Without the Angel Fund, many injured and neglected animals would never get the second chance they deserve.

Cutie Pie.
If there was ever a dog who deserved a happy ending, it’s Cutie Pie.
Back in December 2025, a kindhearted neighbor brought Cutie Pie to our shelter after discovering something almost unimaginable. She had been shot with hunting arrows and left to die. The person responsible had even kept her confined with the arrows still lodged in her body while a hole was being dug for what they believed would be her grave.
But Cutie Pie had other plans.
She survived.
She underwent emergency surgery, extensive medical care, and months of recovery. Thanks to the generosity of Angel Fund donors, we were able to give her the treatment she desperately needed. Every dollar donated helped turn what could have been a tragic ending into the beginning of a brand-new life.
Stories like Cutie Pie’s are exactly why the Angel Fund exists. There will always be another injured, neglected, or abused animal who arrives at our shelter needing extraordinary care.
