A Time to Build

We're Working with the Community Foundation of Cleveland and Bradley County to Build the Future Home of the SPCA of Bradley County

At the SPCA of Bradley County, we’re proud of the care we provide our community’s animals, but our facility has drastically limited our ability to welcome more animals safely and prevents us from offering many services to these future pets. It's time to build a better future for these animals.

With that in mind, we’ve partnered with Community Foundation of Cleveland and Bradley County on a capital campaign to build a new, modern animal adoption center in Bradley County. This campaign will also create an endowment for the SPCA of Bradley County, allowing us and the Community Foundation to partner together to provide ongoing support and funding for our community’s most pressing animal adoption needs. You can learn more about it on the official campaign website

The current facility is far past its capacity, with size restrictions limiting the amount of adoptions the SPCA can facilitate. At the present time alone, over 60 animals are in foster care due to a lack of space and kennels available. In addition, the current facility was not designed for animal care, meaning that the facility as it stands lacks both sanitary and procedural necessities to ensure the well-being of our community’s animals.

Building a new, modern facility will allow an expansion in services for Bradley County’s animals, with the proposed facility increasing in size to include more dog and cat kennels, exam and surgery rooms, and an indoor dog run and cat colony.

The SPCA Endowment Fund will also be established through the capital campaign and managed by the Community Foundation.  This endowment is a permanent fund in which contributions may not be spent, but rather are invested to generate a stream of income for the organization.  It will help the SPCA better meet operational costs and provide long-term stability for the future of the organization.

With the launch of this public capital campaign, the SPCA of Bradley County and the Community Foundation of Cleveland and Bradley County are turning to the community for help turning this facility from a plan into a reality.

It’s time to build - are you ready to contribute to the future of our community? Give now and support the SPCA of Bradley County as we care for our community’s animals.
