THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Step 1
The potential adopter can send a message through the site asking about the animal’s availability as well as completing an online application page.
Step 2
Once that application page is reviewed by staff, the potential adopter is contacted and an appointment is made to come in and meet the animal in a session that we refer to as “meet and greet.”
Step 3
This session allows the potential adopter to be certain that this animal will integrate into the adopter’s home situation. If all goes well, the potential adapter completes the adoption, contract and fees, and adopts the animal.

Adoption Center visitation hours: Tuesday-Saturday from 12 - 5 PM
The adoption fees listed below include spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations (DHPP/FVRCP, bordetella, rabies), deworming and microchip with lifetime registration. ​
Adult Dogs: $95
Puppies (6 months and older): $150
Ambassadors Canines* (under 6 months, under 26lbs, pure breeds): $150
Adult Cats: $50
Kittens (6 months and under): $75
Ambassadors Felines* (pure breeds/fancy breeds): $150
*Ambassador Fees are in place to help offset the cost of care & housing for some of our long-term residents who do not get adopted as quickly as the Ambassadors!
